Step 1: Installing the Slack Bot Template
The creation of a slack bot for your AI personality has been made super easy by Kamoto.AI. All you need to get started is to download the Slack Bot Template that we have already designed in a way to enable you to create the bot in a few simple steps. You may access the Slack Bot Template by click here.
As soon as you click on the above link, you will be taken to the official Slack Bot Template offered by Kamoto.AI. The user will be required to Sign up or login to the Autocode portal for accessing the template. Once logged in, click on the Install button as highlighted in the image referred below.
The next step would be to choose an Autocode account under which you want to download this template and name the project respectively. After filling in both the fields, click on the 'Next' button to proceed ahead.
The next step would call for you to link a Slack account with the portal. Click on the 'Link Resource' button to move ahead.
On this step, you will be presented with two options, either to join the Autocode app on Slack or link your won custom app on Slack. Depending on your requirement, you can go with the respective option. Once selected, click on the 'Finish' button to move to the next step.
Next, the Autocode portal will ask your permission to link your Slack account. Click on Allow button to enable the successful linking.
Now is the time to give a name to your Slack Bot app. Enter the name and click on 'Finish' button to complete the setup.
Once the Slack bot has been successfully linked to the Autocode portal, finish the installation by clicking on the "Install App' button.
On successful installation, you will get a prompt. Click on the Continue button.
Now on, you will directed to the Code Source where you can link your AI personality, powered by Kamoto.AI, to the Slack bot. On the left panel of your screen, find the function 'fn app_mention.js' under the Slack option and on its corresponding screen on the right, put your AI personality's API Key and Personality ID.
